About Me

About Me

In private practice over thirty years, I have helped hundreds of individuals, couples, and families identify problems and create paths to successful resolutions.

I am warm, curious, and direct, qualities that enable me to create a safe space for conversations, while also challenging my clients to explore difficult subjects. A truly joyful aspect of my practice is getting to know people, their interests, their families, their hopes, dreams, and fears.

I have a PhD in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and have done extensive training in family systems programs with the Chicago Center for Family Health and the Family Institute. I have trained in mediation at the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution, followed by an internship in divorce mediation from the Chicago Center for Family Health.

I live in Skokie, a suburb of Chicago, with my husband. We prize our time with our three grown children, their spouses and four delightful grandchildren.

I will read a well-written book on almost any topic. I love birding, gardening, yoga, and trading stocks and options. All four pursuits help me to engage in life-long learning and sharing and keep me humble.

I’d like to get to know you. Call, text, or email me so we can begin.
